Don’t be afraid to take risks

De Layno defines himself as a risk-taker, a quality he gained from the most significant inspiration in his life- his father, mother, and older brother. His father was the first business icon he ever looked up to. He has modeled his own life after many of his old man’s ideals.

De Layno started his entrepreneurial journey right out of high school at the age of 18. His first company was a marketing and media agency that specialized in running promotions for club venues. Afterward, he pivoted into designing, selling branded t-shirts, and other stylish items. In 2017, he launched One Umbrella Enterprise, a real estate and construction company.

Each time Delayno pivoted into another business opportunity, he knew there was the possibility of failure yet. He did not allow this to deter him and instead doubled down on his efforts to succeed.

A significant factor contributing to the success of De Layno’s styling business was the massive support that he received from influencers in his community. He was able to get in touch with celebrities like the NBA superstar JR Smith, the late hip hop icon, Chinx Drugz, and many others who helped him take his business forward.
